Cubic Corp.: The San Diego-based firm reported record fiscal third-quarter earnings of $6.73 million, up 23% from the 1989 period, on sales of $85.6 million, up 1%. The company cited strength in three of its major business segments: defense systems, revenue collection for mass transit and toll roads and elevator products.
