N. Hollywood Slaying Tied to Drugs
A Reseda man was found shot to death behind a North Hollywood apartment complex Wednesday morning in what investigators believe was a drug-related slaying, Los Angeles police said.
Police found the body of John S. Edmunds, 23, behind an apartment building in the 11500 block of Riverside Drive about 12:30 a.m., Lt. Frank Spangler said. Edmunds had been shot once in the abdomen.
Spangler said that there were no suspects, but that undisclosed evidence led detectives to determine the slaying was drug related. Edmunds’ body was found by a passer-by who drove to a police station in Van Nuys to report it, he said. The passer-by took officers to the body.
