Westwind, a 118-home single-family development by the Manning Co., opens today in Pulte Home Corp.’s 630-acre Silverhawk planned community in Murrieta.

Seventeen four- and five-bedroom houses in the first phase are offered in three two-story floor plans ranging from 2,160 to 2,500 square feet, priced from $176,900 to $204,900. The houses have 2 1/2 to 3 bathrooms, three-car garages and are on lots averaging 6,500 square feet--large enough for a pool and patio.

Other features of the Riverside County development include concrete-tile roofs, front-yard landscaping, rear and side fencing and interior laundry rooms. First move-ins are scheduled for January. Three furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 39533 Salinas Drive, reached from the eastbound Winchester Road exit of the Escondido (15) Freeway.

Quartz Hill Houses

Cachet, a Barratt American development of 132 single-family houses with French Normandy and Italian Mediterranean exteriors, opens today in the Quartz Hill area of the Antelope Valley.

The first phase of 14 three-, four- and five-bedroom houses is available in four plans ranging from 2,000 to 2,819 square feet, priced from $206,000 to $255,000.

Features include two or three bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, ceramic-tile entries and dining rooms. Other features include pool-size lots with front-yard landscaping and sprinklers, and rear-yard masonry walls.

Move-ins are scheduled to begin in November. Four furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Avenue L-8 and 65th Street West, reached from the westbound Avenue H exit of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.

Trabuco Duplexes

Views across Orange County’s Saddleback Valley to the Pacific Ocean are offered in Serenado at Portola Hills, a development of 166 two- and three-bedroom duplexes opening today in Trabuco Canyon.

The first phase of the Baldwin Co. project has 16 units, in what the builder terms “paired homes,” with three two-level floor plans ranging from 1,561 to 1,891 square feet.

Priced from $185,900 to $227,900, the units come with a double-sided fireplace, ceramic-tile entries, cathedral ceilings and nine-foot-high ceiling downstairs.

The monthly association fee of $98 covers common area maintenance, including a recreation center with a pool, tennis courts, children’s play area, along with hiking, biking and equestrian trails in Baldwin’s 1,000-acre Portola Hills development. Move-ins are planned for November.

Three furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 19381 Dorado Drive, reached from the eastbound El Toro Road exit of the San Diego (5) Freeway.

Westwood Condos

Park View North, a nine-unit condominium development in Westwood, opens today with one- and two-bedroom units priced from $259,000 to $577,500.

Built about five years ago as a condominium project, Park View North had been a rental project until the units were refurbished for sale this year, according to a spokeswoman for the developer, Silton Properties.

The condominiums range in size from 1,100 to more than 2,300 square feet. Some units have lofts and sun decks. Features include breakfast nooks, fireplaces, premium kitchen appliances, burglar alarms and secured underground parking. Immediate move-ins are available. The association fee ranges from $253 to $335 a month.

A sales office staffed by Terry Realty is open Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. at 1403 Greenfield Ave., next to Westwood Park, just south of the Federal Building complex.

Lancaster Projects

Presley of Southern California is opening two single-family developments today in the BelTierra master-planned community in Lancaster.

Solana, with a total of 431 units at build-out, opens with 12 three- and four-bedroom houses, with 1,817 to 2,610 square feet, priced from $159,990 to $209,990.

Cantora, planned for 444 houses, opens with 12 three- and four-bedroom houses with 1,433 to 2,011 square feet, priced from $139,990 to $175,990.

Move-ins for both Solana and Cantora are scheduled to begin next March. There is no association fee. Four furnished models for Cantora and four for Solana are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 2650 Pondera St., reached from the 20th Street West exit of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
