Police have released a composite drawing of the suspect in last week’s Newport Beach jewelry heist.
The man, who entered the store Jewels by Mondonna at about 11 a.m. on July 31, posed as a customer before pulling out a handgun and forcing the two store employees to the rear of the shop. He tied up the two workers and then fled, stealing an undetermined amount of jewelry.
The employees described the man as about 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He had black and gray hair, blue eyes and a muscular build.
Police are asking that anyone with information about a man matching such a description call (714) 644-3785.
