President Named at Chemical Bank

Chemical Banking Corp. has named Robert J. Callander, a vice chairman, as president of the corporation and its flagship bank.
The company also announced that it was expanding its office of the chairman to include Callander, three newly named vice chairmen of Chemical Bank and the chief executive of its subsidiary Texas Commerce Bancshares.
Among the appointments:
* William B. Harrison, formerly group executive officer in charge of the banking and corporate finance group, was named vice chairman and director of Chemical Bank. He will become responsible for institutional banking activities worldwide.
* William H. Turner, who was in charge of the middle market banking group, was named vice chairman and a director of Chemical Bank.
