Jockey David Flores, suddenly making a shambles of the Orange County Racing Fair jockey race, clicked with six mounts Wednesday to set an all-time racing fair mark for one night.

Flores began his big night at Los Alamitos by taking the second thoroughbred race with Tribe ($5.40), and he came back to win the next race aboard Professor Shane ($7).

After going unplaced in the seventh race, Flores rode the winners of the next four races. Modern Comfort ($3), Paces ($3.80) and Flying H. ($7.80) allowed the journeyman to tie the mark held by Corey Black and Antonio Castanon.

Finally, Flores brought home Wildly Irish ($3.60) to complete the six-win night.

His four straight victories were one shy of the Orange County Racing Fair record. Black won five races on two Los Alamitos programs in 1988, and Castanon turned the trick in 1986.
