Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect in a gang-related fracas after firing several shots at him Friday, a police spokesman said.
Officers sent to the intersection of Skyline and Meadowbrook drives shortly before 6:30 p.m. saw three men involved in a gunfight with men in a car, Police Sgt. Fred England said.
When the officers identified themselves, one of the men turned and pointed his gun at a police detective, England said. The detective fired several shots, none of which hit the gunman, England said.
“The suspect immediately dropped his weapon and ran,” England said.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody shortly afterward, England said. Apparently no one was injured, England said.
