Richard Tyson is the new nemesis for Arnold Schwarzenegger--in “Kindergarten Cop,” now shooting--but he’s not worried about matching up with the massive bodybuilder.

“I don’t have the biceps, but that’s OK,” laughs the six-foot, 185-pound Tyson. “You won’t really be able to tell. In this movie, my character wears long silk coats with long sleeves.”

“Kindergarten Cop,” which Ivan Reitman directs for Imagine Ent. and Universal Pictures, has Schwarzenegger going undercover as a teacher in an attempt to locate the child--and runaway wife--of jailed drug dealer Tyson. (He’s hoping to get her to testify against Tyson.) Then Tyson’s released on bail . . ..

Tyson made his film debut as the tough, seemingly psychotic new kid in school in “Three O’Clock High” (1987), played a seductive carny in “Two Moon Junction” (1988), then was cop Joe (Kaz) Kaczierowski in the NBC series “Hardball.”

He sports his trademark long hair for the role--but dyed black, “combed to perfection” and pulled back in a ponytail. Muses Tyson: “The character’s name is Cullen Crisp. Everything about him is just like his name sounds.”
