International Remote Imaging Systems Inc., a Chatsworth manufacturer of urinalysis machines, said it narrowed its net loss to $85,945 in the second quarter that ended June 30 from $745,963 a year earlier. Revenues increased 34% to $1.14 million from $854,071.

For the six months that ended in June, International Remote lost $144,348, compared to a net loss of $1.14 million in the year-earlier period. Revenues were $2.22 million, an 18% gain from $1.89 million a year before. International Remote said the narrower losses reflected increased product sales and revenues from research and development, and decreases in operating expenses.
