Kenneth Michael; Retired Maintenance Worker

Kenneth Michael of Burbank, who was a retired maintenance worker with the city of Burbank, has died at the Medical Center of North Hollywood. He was 76.

Born in Chico, Calif., Michael died Friday of complications due to asthma, said his daughter-in-law, Arlene Kinzel.

Michael was a member of the American Legion Post 15 and the Disabled American Veterans, having served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.

He lived in the same house in Burbank for 44 years and began working for the city of Burbank in 1950. He retired in 1974.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lorna Michael; stepson Jack Kinzel of Simi Valley; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd., North Hollywood, which is handling the arrangements. Donations can be made in Michael’s name to the American Lung Assn.
