Share

Acting on a request by the City Disability Advisory Committee, the Culver City Council on Monday approved $14,500 to install the city’s first audible crossing signals at three commercial intersections.

The signals, designed to assist the blind, will be installed at three Sepulveda Boulevard intersections: Sawtelle Boulevard, Washington Boulevard and Slauson Avenue.

The council awarded a contract to Ontario-based Wilcox Sales Co., which has supplied similar signals to Huntington Beach, Santa Monica and Los Angeles.
