Election Issues: S&Ls;, Abortion

I see that the former mayor of San Francisco has, indeed, learned from her primary election campaign--when you cannot wow the voters with your own record, attack your opponent. Further, in doing so, do not concern yourself with whether or not you are telling the truth because if you tell a lie often enough, some people might just start to believe it!

Feinstein’s ad accusing Wilson of being in favor of quotas rather than affirmative action, while trying in vain to convince people that she is now not for quotas herself, is a clear and true indication of how she plans to continue this campaign. She has not put forth her own vision for the state; has not explained her flip-flops on issues such as family leave, taxes and the death penalty; nor has she been able to mount an honest attack on Wilson based upon facts and issues.

Well, whoever expected the general election to be any different from the primary.
