The Human Costs of War
The news media are full of statistics of oil increases due to the recent Mideast crisis. Where are the statistical projections on the possible loss of life? I realize as a mother whose son is in the armed services that I might be looking at this situation from something other than my wallet.
I heard on a radio broadcast that Kuwait produces 7% of the world’s oil. That means, roughly, a 7-cent increase for every dollar I spend. I would gladly spend that to keep my son out of war. How much would you pay for gasoline to save your child’s life?
