One of Best Museums Was Missing

I can’t imagine why you would not include the Cabrillo Marine Museum in San Pedro on your list of museums that have special interest for children (“Museums Give Young Imaginations a Chance to Run a Little Wild,” Aug. 9).
It’s the only museum that does not charge admission, and their touch tank, where you can pet all the tide pool critters, is worth a trip just for that.
Then there’s the guided tours, the whale room with a complete skeleton, the shows in the auditorium, the bone yard, the life-size models, the aquarium that may be viewed from both sides, the gift shop with its great selection of books. To find out about the rest, call (213) 548-7563.
