‘Bugged’ Home Buyer

In regards to the article “Bugged” by Jeanne Boyer (July 22), I would like for you to let the Roses know that there are others that were ripped off just like they were. We also bought a house in 1987 that had a termite clearance.

We paid $99,000 for the house, and it has over $82,000 worth of termite/dry-rot damage. We too have suffered numerous nightmares and other such horrors because within five weeks of moving into our house the floors and walls started collapsing on us.

We too have been involved in costly legal battles trying to get the damages repaired. As of this time, the only help we have received has been from the State Structural Pest Control Board.

As we were made to feel that this type of fraud had happened only to us, I am sure that it would mean a great deal to the Roses to know that there are others in the same horrible situation as they are. It took us two years of desperate searching to finally find someone to help us through the legal aspects of trying to recover at least some of the damages.
