How to get there: Travelers to Taveuni must first fly to Nadi, Fiji. Air New Zealand and Qantas offer service three times weekly from Los Angeles to Nadi through Honolulu. With 14-day advance purchase, round-trip fare on both airlines through the end of August is $901. From September through November, and March/April, fares rise to $981. High-season cost, December through February, is $1,113. From Nadi, Sunflower Airlines provides same-day round-trip service to Taveuni, including lunch, for $35. Maravu Plantation, a 54-acre coconut plantation resort across the road from Dive Taveuni, offers individual vales and huts spread over beautiful grounds.
