Gauss to Begin Making Speakers in Tennessee

Share

Gauss Loudspeakers said it is moving its loudspeaker-manufacturing operations from its headquarters in Sun Valley to a facility in Newport, Tenn., that is already being operated by Gauss’ parent company, Mark IV Industries Inc.

Gauss’ administration, sales and marketing staffs will remain in Sun Valley, as will the company’s engineers and quality assurance personnel. The 80 Gauss manufacturing workers currently in Sun Valley will be reassigned to build other Mark IV professional audio equipment, said Paul V. Hugo, Gauss’ sales and marketing director.

Hugo said Gauss is shifting its production because the company had outgrown its current manufacturing space and because the merger of its production with that of other Mark IV operations is expected to save money.
