Hughes Aircraft Seeks Airport Pact: Hughes Aircraft Co. hopes to secure a $37-million pact to supply air traffic control systems and equipment for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Plans call for replacing the air control tower with a fully automated control system as well as installing additional radar. Los Angeles-based Hughes is a unit of General Motors Corp.
