NATION IN BRIEF : NORTH DAKOTA : Delay Denied in 2nd Drunk-Flying Trial

A judge refused to delay a state trial for three former Northwest Airlines pilots already convicted on federal charges of flying a jetliner from Fargo, N.C., to Minneapolis while under the influence of alcohol. Cass County Judge Frank Racek said in Fargo that he would rule by Saturday on a defense request to dismiss the misdemeanor charges, filed by North Dakota prosecutors after the March 8 flight.
