Former President Ronald Reagan has accepted President Mikhail S. Gorbachev’s invitation to visit the Soviet Union, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said today.

Gorbachev invited Reagan and his wife, Nancy, during their meeting in San Francisco in June.

“Technical issues connected with Reagan’s visit as a guest of the Soviet president are being worked on,” spokesman Yuri Gremitskikh said, according to Tass news agency.
