CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : SAN FRANCISCO : Link Sought Between Lawsuits, Slaying
- Share via
Slain attorney Dexter Jacobson told reporters shortly before he was slain Aug. 14 that he believed the bankruptcy court was “poisoned” with fraud and that he intended to file suits involving bankruptcy professionals. Jacobson was quoted in a copyright story by the San Francisco Daily Journal, a legal newspaper investigating the bankruptcy system in Northern California. Jacobson was found shot in the head at point-blank range on a hillside north of Sausalito shortly before a planned meeting with FBI agents, the U.S. attorney and U.S. trustee’s offices to discuss allegations in the draft of his lawsuit. Authorities are exploring the possibility of a link between his death and the lawsuits.
