WORLD : Teresa, 80, Awaits Successor

CALCUTTA —
Mother Teresa turned 80 today and went into seclusion until the election Sept. 8 of her successor as head of the Missionaries of Charity order that she founded.
But the universally admired nun who started work among the legions of the poor in Calcutta 40 years ago says she has no intention of retiring.
