NEW YORK —
NBC News has hired New York Daily News columnist Bob Herbert as a contributing correspondent.
Herbert starts at NBC in January but will continue working for the Daily News, the network said Wednesday. Herbert joined the newspaper in 1976 and has worked as a reporter and city editor.
