A suspected Duarte gang member, already in custody on drug-related charges, has been charged in connection with an attack on a man earlier this month at a Monrovia park, authorities said.
Tremaine Campbell, 18, was accused last week of attempted murder, armed robbery and auto theft in connection with the Aug. 6 attack on Peter Ramos, who was shot in the stomach while eating lunch in his car alongside Recreation Park, police said.
Ramos, 33, of Sierra Madre was recovering at home after being released from the hospital, Monrovia Police Lt. Patrick Hardy said. A second suspect in the shooting has not been identified, Hardy said.
Campbell, who will be arraigned on the drug charges Wednesday, was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
