Tisch Family Buys Bank Stocks: CBS Chief Executive Laurence A. Tisch and his brother, Preston R. Tisch, have spent more than $65 million to buy sizeable stakes in three banking firms: Baybanks Inc., Equimark Corp. and Continental Bank Corp. In separate filings with the SEC, the brothers and other family members said they bought 9.5% of Baybanks Inc. of Boston, 6.8% of Equimark in Pittsburgh and 5.6% of Chicago-based Continental. The family said the all of the shares were bought for investment purposes only.
