Your Aug. 23 issue was full of people with real problems, ranging from the Iraq crisis to a man being killed while defending a friend from robbery. It was disconcerting to see the attention you gave to Ernest Franceschi’s lawsuit against Huntington Beach.

Your prominent front-page story and publication of a picture of this man striking a heroic pose next to his expensive sports car does a disservice to people who are facing real life-and-death problems.

If there was any justice, Franceschi would have lost his driver’s license for risking the lives of others by his reckless driving.

Your article neglected to mention that a recent traffic survey upheld the posted speed limits in this area.
