National Technical Posts 7% Drop in 2nd Quarter Profit

National Technical Systems Inc., a Calabasas provider of testing and engineering services, said its fiscal second-quarter profit fell 7% from a year earlier as revenue remained flat.

In the quarter ended July 31, National Technical’s net income dropped to $212,000 from $228,000, and its revenue was unchanged at $7.63 million.

For the first half of its fiscal year, the company’s profit fell 20% from a year earlier, to $413,000 from $513,000, and its six-month revenue also was unchanged at $15.4 million.
