LOCAL : Bicycling Thieves Get $184,000

A businessman carrying $184,000 in checks and cash was robbed outside a Paramount bank today by assailants who pedaled away on bicycles, authorities said.
The messenger was accosted in the parking lot of a Bank of America branch on Paramount Boulevard, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Lowell Burris said.
The robbers got away. Investigators could not immediately say how many robbers were involved.
