July Crude Steel Output Flat in Japan

Japan’s crude steel production in July remained almost unchanged from a year ago at 9.191 million tons, the Japan Iron and Steel federation reported. The federation said ordinary steel output increased 0.8% to 7.6 million tons, while specialty steel production decreased 3.6% to 1.591 million tons.
