Summit Agenda for 1st Ladies Set
Barbara Bush is accompanying President Bush on his superpower summit trip to Helsinki, Finland, where she will meet with the Soviet and Finnish first ladies.
While Bush and Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev discuss the Persian Gulf crisis Sunday, Barbara Bush, Raisa Gorbachev and Tellervo Koivisto, wife of Finland’s President Mauno Koivisto, will visit the University of Helsinki Library.
There the three first ladies will take part in a ceremony marking the 350th anniversary of the library. On Saturday, shortly after arriving in Helsinki from Washington, Mrs. Bush, accompanied by the wives of the U.S. and Soviet ambassadors to Finland, will visit the nearby Finnish town of Provoo.
