The Pit and the Pendulum (Full Moon Ent.). Shooting in Rome. Lance Henriksen, as directed by “From Beyond’s” Stuart Gordon, takes on the role made famous by Vincent Price in the Edgar Allan Poe classic. Relative newcomer Bill Campbell survived a massive talent search for this comic strip-based adventure story directed by “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’ ” Joe Johnston. Campbell plays the title character, who’s known for his speed flying but turns heads when he invents a jet pack. Producers Lawrence Gordon, Charles Gordon and Lloyd Levin.
