Authorities have seized $500,000 in cash, numerous weapons and an extensive collection of documents from a drug ring that laundered up to $50 million a year in Colombian cocaine profits, Glendale police said Saturday.
Ten Colombian citizens, living in the San Fernando Valley, Glendale and Los Angeles and a Honduran woman living in Arleta were arrested on charges of drug conspiracy and currency violations, Glendale Police Sgt. Terry Jones said.
Most of the money and weapons were found inside two hidden vaults built into the concrete foundation of a Granada Hills home, located in the 10800 block of Danube Street, Jones said. Police were alerted to the operations by an informant, Jones said.
