From Times staff and Wire reports

A task force investigating the slayings of 43 women has confiscated 750 videotapes from the home of a broadcast personality who once produced a variety-type show that included law enforcement officials. “Shotgun” Tom Kelly, who has been an announcer and host of the “Kids Club” show on KUSI-TV, said he was not a suspect in the case. “They think I have tapes leading them to a suspect,” Kelly said. Kelly said Metropolitan Homicide Task Force detectives who searched his home last month were particularly interested in a videotape that included Sheriff John Duffy and former Police Chief Bill Kolender. The tape was made seven years ago in the garage of Kelly’s home. The coordinator for the task force would not comment Saturday because the case is part of an ongoing investigation.
