Police said Warren, 18, of Anaheim, may be prosecuted after he is released from UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was taken after the explosion severely injured one of his hands.
Hospital spokeswoman Fran Tardiff said Warren was in critical condition Saturday in the intensive care unit. His right hand was amputated, and he also suffered injuries to his left hand.
Anaheim police Lt. John Haradon said there was very little damage to Warren’s room at the Comfort 9 Motel, where the bomb exploded about 9:20 p.m. Friday.
