Controversy Over Proposition 128

Share

It is obvious that Botkin has been living in his ivory tower too long. His naive analogy comparing our political system to a commercial airline flight is a joke. The truth is, the airplane he speaks of flies where special interests want to go and when out of fuel, the people of California are stranded because our elected officials have sold out to special interests and big business instead of protecting the public and our resources.

Further, Botkin accuses the authors of Big Green of trying to accomplish too much. His tower must not have a window to the world or he would know the responsibility lies with the above-mentioned public servants for ignoring earlier warnings and pleas.

We are at a critical time where the health of our environment is concerned. So Mr. Botkin, we don’t have time to “step back for a little while.” I’m voting yes on Big Green.
