The first running of the $150,000-guaranteed Barrett’s Juvenile for 2-year-olds highlights the Thursday afternoon program at Fairplex Park in Pomona.

Horses that passed through the March and May 2-year-olds in training sales at the Barrett’s sales complex at Fairplex Park are eligible to the Barrett’s Juvenile, and not surprisingly a full field of youngsters were entered in the 6 1/2-furlong dash.

The winner will receive $82,500.

Only one horse in the field has raced on the Pomona track: Skylaunch. The son of Skywalker is coming back after only a two-day rest, however, and will have to be in good shape to repeat his stunning win at a better than 40-1 mutuel on Monday.
