Ken Bannister, who averaged 11.3 minutes a game last season as a backup center with the Clippers before becoming a free agent, signed a two-year contract.
The Clippers also signed free agents Clinton Smith and Steve Key. Smith, drafted by the Golden State Warriors from Cleveland State in 1986, played last season for the Albany Patroons of the Continental Basketball Assn. Key averaged 16.6 points a game last season at Boston University.
