Share

Bolstered by the success of recent fund-raisers, AIDS Project Los Angeles has announced it plans to expand its client services and give money to several smaller community groups.

Of the $570,000 brought in by the group’s fund-raisers, $345,000 has been earmarked for hiring eight more employees for such tasks as managing cases, providing legal assistance and staffing Our House, the organization’s residential facility.

Also, grants ranging from $10,000 to $30,000 are to be given to nine local groups that provide education, counseling and other services to various segments of the gay population, people suffering from AIDS and those with the AIDS virus.
