TRW Space & Technology Group, Redondo Beach, has reassigned and promoted several executives. Paul W. Mayhew has been named vice president and assistant group general manager for programs. Edward J. Nowacki, former vice president and program manager of Advanced Technology Programs, succeeds Mayhew as president and general manager of the Engineering and Test division.

Donald C. Winter has been named vice president and general manager of a consolidation of the former Space & Technology Group Advanced Technology Programs, Defense Projects division and Strategic Mission Programs. The new division, Defense Systems, will manage special programs. Winter was formerly vice president and manager of Strategic Mission Programs.

Joseph Miller replaces Gerard W. Elverum, who has retired, as vice president and general manager of the Applied Technology division. Miller was formerly assistant general manager of the unit. Edward C. Rea has been named vice president and general manager of the Ballistic Missiles division. Rea replaces J. Michael Gorman, who retired earlier this year. Rea was formerly assistant general manager and project manager of the division’s work on the Small ICBM.
