300 Reindeer Found Dead in Finnish Wilds

HELSINKI, Finland — The discovery of about 300 dead reindeer in a swamp in the northern Finnish Lapland wilderness has officials scratching their heads.
“The animals either drowned or died of starvation in the swamp,” Investigator Olavi Alapuranen speculated Friday.
