Seeing Green: California Business magazine has named Irvine-based Rainbow Technologies, a maker of security systems for personal computers, as Small Business of the Year.
It is not hard to see why: Since 1986, sales doubled to $11.5 million in 1989, net income grew 150% to $1.7 million, and sales per employee jumped 77% to $230,000.
Peter Craig, vice president of sales and marketing, said the company focuses on selling its computer security systems to the small software developer who cannot afford to lose license revenues to software pirates.
