Randy Shields, a former welterweight boxing contender from North Hollywood but inactive since 1983, will launch a comeback at the Reseda Country Club tonight against Stewart Baynes of Los Angeles. Shields, 35, was 40-9 when he retired seven years ago. Baynes is 9-11. The bout is contracted for 155 pounds.
