Quality Automation to Sell Its Assets: Quality Automation, an Anaheim-based maker of machines that automatically handle and label computer chips, said it has agreed to sell its assets to Data I/O Corp. in Redmond, Wash., for $4 million. The sale will be consummated in several steps over the next two to three years. Data I/O is a manufacturer of computer chip-design software.
