National Medical Enterprises Inc.: The Santa Monica-based health-care services firm said first-quarter net income rose 19% to a record $59.6 million, while revenue dipped 10% to $894.8 million. The current quarter does not include revenue from domestic long-term care operations, which were spun off into a separate company called Hillaven Corp. in January. The firm attributed the profit performance to NME’s General Hospital Group and ongoing profit growth in the Specialty Hospital Group.
