Otto M. Bartosik; Real Estate Broker, Contractor

A memorial service is scheduled to be held Sunday for Otto M. Bartosik, an Antelope Valley real estate broker and contractor who died in Soda Springs, Calif. He was 43.

A resident of Lancaster, Bartosik died Aug. 11 in a car accident, said his brother-in-law Viliam Jonec.

Born Sept. 27, 1946, in Kosice, Czechoslovakia, he came to the United States in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army in the mid-to-late 1960s. He was a flying instructor in Los Angeles before becoming an independent real estate broker and contractor who built custom houses in Lancaster and Palmdale. Bartosik was also an avid triathlete.

He is survived by his son Jan Bartosik of Detroit; mother Jolana Srsen of Sherman Oaks; brother Jan Bartosik of Sherman Oaks; and sister Marta Jonec of Tarzana.

The memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday at a home in Tarzana. Donations can be made to the Otto M. Bartosik Memorial Fund, in care of Change of Pace, 1260 Lake Blvd., Davis, Calif., 95616.
