SIMI VALLEY : Superintendent List Down to 5 Finalists
Simi Valley school board members have narrowed the field of superintendent candidates to five people who will be interviewed this week.
The five candidates were gleaned from a list of 46 people who applied last month to lead the Simi Valley Unified School District, the largest in Ventura County.
Officials said they chose the five candidates for the $95,000-a-year position based on comments from school officials and community members.
The school board is expected to announce its decision Oct. 15.
