Monrovia : Sports Complex Approved

Share

The City Council on Tuesday approved the development of a $300,000 sports complex to be used by the Monrovia Youth Baseball League at Santa Fe Intermediate School.

Construction will begin this month on the complex, which includes baseball fields, bleachers, two scoreboards and portable fencing.

Eileen Brownell, director of community services, told the council she hopes the complex will be completed in time for the 1991 baseball season, beginning in February. A concession stand will be rented for the first year, and a permanent concession stand is scheduled to be built next summer, she said.
