Two-Mile Swath Left by Runaway Bulldozer
Reuters
LONDON —
An untended bulldozer cut a two-mile swath of devastation across a major highway and into a housing development after a vandal jammed the accelerator pedal, British police said Friday.
The vehicle was stolen Thursday night from a building site in northern England. The errant bulldozer ripped out a 400-yard section of a highway barrier and demolished a bus shelter, two parked cars and a van before ramming a house.
Police were searching for the vandal.
