From Staff and Wire Reports

Two female reporters covering Saturday’s Arizona-UCLA game at the Rose Bowl said they were verbally harassed by possibly two unidentified players in the Arizona locker room.

Karen Crouse, a reporter for the Orange County Register, and Paola Boivin, a reporter for the L.A. Daily News, both said that in separate incidents a naked player kept calling out to them while they were trying to conduct interviews after the game.

Crouse and Boivin said they believed the harassment was not by the same player.

“I apologize to Karen, and I deeply regret the incident,” said Butch Henry, an Arizona assistant athletic director.

“We have attempted to maintain an open locker room for the past eight years and have done so without incident in both football and men’s basketball. We will discuss the incident and make sure there’s no repeat.”

Only the incident with Crouse was reported to Arizona officials.
