Rose L. Rashmir; Researcher, Social Worker
Rose L. Rashmir, 90, former board chairman for the Suicide Prevention Center at UCLA. Mrs. Rashmir was a researcher and social worker in her native New York and treasurer of an electrical contracting firm in New Haven, Conn. Relocating to California, she founded Market Compilation and Research Bureau in 1948 and pioneered use of census statistics to improve marketing efficiency. After she was widowed in 1973, she became active as a fund-raiser for UCLA. On Tuesday in Santa Monica.
